パラマウントから、ロマン･ポランスキー監督、ジャック･ニコルソン主演『チャイナタウン』（1974）の4K UHD BLU-RAYリリース･アナウンスが届きました。35mmオリジナルネガからの最新4Kデジタルレストア／HDRグレード。HDRはHDR10とドルビービジョンHDRをサポート。2020年にリマスターBLU-RAYリリースされた続編『黄昏のチャイナタウン』（1990／監督･主演ジャック･ニコルソン）を同梱。
1937年ロサンゼルス。ある浮気調査をきっかけに、ミステリアスな事件に巻き込まれていく私立探偵ジェイクの姿を描いた傑作ハードボイルド･ミステリ。共演は『ネットワーク』のオスカー女優フェイ･ダナウェイ、『マルタの鷹』等の名監督として知られるジョン･ヒューストン。製作は『ゴッドファーザー』のロバート･エヴァンス。アカデミー作品賞ほか11部門にノミネート。『テキーラ･サンライズ』の監督でもあるロバート･タウンのオリジナル脚本はオスカーを獲得。
