ディズニー／FOXから届いた4K UHD BLU-RAY『アバター：ファイヤー･アンド･アッシュ』（2025）リリース･アナウンス。HDRはHDR10とドルビービジョンHDRをサポート。サウンドはオリジナル･ドルビーアトモス･サウンドトラックを収録。BLU-RAY 3Dも同時リリース（BLU-RAY 3Dおよび同2DはDTS-HD MA7.1収録）。国内版リリースのアナウンスもまもなく。

本作品は監督キャメロンのライフワークと言える『アバター』サーガの第3作にあたり、予定されている全5作品の折り返し地点に位置する映画である。第1作から第2作『アバター：ウェイ･オブ･ウォーター』までは13年の歳月を費やしたが、本作品は3年を経ての公開となる。第2作と本作品は、若い俳優の加齢への対応や、複雑なパフォーマンスキャプチャのプロセスを効率化するために同時制作されており、主要スタッフにも変更がない。当然のことながら3D公開を前提に製作された作品であり、撮影システムも継続して使用されている。撮影監督は『トゥルーライズ』や『タイタニック』、そして本シリーズでは前作に引き続きラッセル･カーペンターが務めている。
ここで簡単におさらいをしておこう。前作と本作品は、Filmed For IMAX（IMAX社認定）規格に準じたSONY シネアルタ･ヴェニスを中核に、リアルト拡張システム（イメージセンサーブロックをメインのカメラ本体から分離するテザー式延長システム）を搭載した専用の3Dステレオスコピック･リグ（ビームスプリッター）で撮影されている。収録はX-OCN RAW（6K収録）。フィニッシュは4K。3D撮影では2台のVENICEセンサーを使用して「左目用」と「右目用」のビデオストリームを記録。各眼は個別に記録されるため、ふたつの高品質な2D画像ストリームが利用可能であり、UHD BLU-RAY（BLU-RAY 2D）として仕上げる工程では、「左目用」のフッテージのみを使用（通例）してHDR／SDRグレーディング等の編集作業を行っている。
